  • Intercultural communication, like any other form of human communication, takes place in four directions and is based on:


1. ...the information that the sender wants to impart to the receiver;
2. ...the information that the sender automatically imparts to himself/ herself;
3. ...the information the sender has about the receiver;
4. ...the message that the sender wants to convey in the process of communication.



  • When people, belonging to diverse national backgrounds and cultures, interact or work together, they run into awkward situations or face conflicts that cannot be avoided or overcome by means of verbal communication only. Even the fact that the participants in the communicative situation have a perfect command of one or more foreign languages cannot serve as a guarantee that such situations will be avoided.

  • Intercultural competence is of key importance to people working in an intercultural environment: it gives them the opportunity to move up the “knowledge stairway”, using the codes of successful intercultural communication in a corporate setting.

А/ Training

А1/Practically-oriented training sessions (up to 12 trainees)
Introduction to the basic concepts of intercultural communication: organizational cultures, intercultural competence, intercultural conflict prevention and management, case studies.

А2/Specialized workshops (up to 6 trainees)
These workshops add focus to the list of topics specified in А1/ and provide the trainees with hands-on experience by putting the issues discussed in the context of specific cases, countries and regions. The workshops can be delivered in a national or international setting (in the countries where the main office or the branch offices of the company are located).

Strategic decision-making and human resource management in an intercultural context require specific attitude, expertise and training. The managers of international companies, regardless of the size of the company or the location of its offices, are facing formidable challenges with regard to intercultural communication that are very often hard to foresee. Modern coaching offers a solution to all those challenges as it provides opportunities for an independent analysis carried out by an external expert.
